The Boring Bar Inserts are a simple, yet useful addition for those cases where a boring bar or similar tool is to be used in a standard 3/4" boring bar holder. The Tormach Lathe uses the 3/4" size as a default for the turret, yet often it is necessary to use smaller boring bars.
Though other boring bar adapters are available, this one is intended as a starting point for sizing to the final desired size while allowing for small, off-axis errors to be accounted for.
Made from Alloy Steel (AISI 4130) and hand-fit to the boring bar holder.
Cross-Drilled to accommodate the M8 Set screws used.
Comes pre-drilled with a 3/8" hole (to allow final sizing by the user to 10mm and larger).
Made in the USA.
Note: may show minor surface variations due to manual finishing to exact sizing and fit. A small amount of stick-out from the holder is to be expected due to the hole spacing not being equal on the boring bar holder.
